TASTING NOTES
Fresh and fruit-forward, the 2025 Dry Rosé is truly summer in a glass. Aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry, and hints of watermelon lead into a lively palate bursting with bright red berries and a subtle citrus lift. Despite its ripe fruit character, the wine finishes crisp and dry, with refreshing acidity that keeps it light on its feet.
This rosé is an excellent introduction for those who typically gravitate toward sweeter wines, as its expressive fruit profile makes it immediately approachable while remaining beautifully dry. It pairs effortlessly with warm-weather dishes like strawberry and almond salad, grilled watermelon with feta, or seared salmon with apricot glaze. And of course, it’s just as enjoyable on its own — perhaps in a backyard hammock on a warm afternoon.
VINEYARD NOTES
At Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, our Dry Rosé reflects both regional momentum and our pioneering mindset. While the blend evolves each year, our philosophy remains consistent: freshness, vibrant berry character, and balance. Just as Dr. Konstantin Frank believed in matching grape to site, we craft this wine from vineyards across our region, selecting fruit that expresses brightness and energy in our climate.
Rosé has grown from a seasonal novelty into a serious category, and we’ve seen tremendous demand for our Dry Rosé portfolio as consumers increasingly seek wines that are versatile, food-friendly, and refreshing. This wine fits beautifully into our vision: a modern, expressive style rooted in cool-climate precision and thoughtful blending.
WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2025 Dry Rosé is a blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Blaufränkisch.
Fruit was sourced from multiple vineyard sites across the Finger Lakes, offering a diverse palette of flavors and structure. Each lot was kept separate and fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness. Skin contact times varied from just a few hours to overnight, allowing us to carefully shape both color and flavor extraction. Different yeast strains and fermentation temperatures were used across lots to build complexity and create a range of blending components.
Unlike a single-vineyard rosé meant to showcase one site, this wine is intentionally crafted through blending. This approach provides depth and nuance, allowing us to layer bright red berry notes with subtle structure and spice.
