Café Katja, located in the heart of New York City’s Lower East Side, offers contemporary Austrian and American food with a light touch. The traditional Heuriger originated in the late 1700’s and celebrates a winemaker’s new vintage of wines and are enjoyed with local food from The restaurant is the brainchild of Erwin Schröttner, an Emmy Award winning chef of ErwinCooks.
Enjoy an intimate three-course seated lunch featuring Austrian foods from chef and owner from Cafe Katja. Each course will be paired with releases from Dr. Konstantin Frank.
Amuse: White Jumbo Spargel – tiroler speck, cress & rye toast.
1st Course: Home Made Gravlax – shaved cucumber, fingerling fries, sourcream.
2nd Course: Seared Moulard Duck – blaukraut, SemmelKnödel, caramelized apple.
3rd Course: Topfenpalatschinken – roasted plums
$85 per person. $65 for club members.
