The Finger Lakes Pioneer

Dr. Konstantin Frank immigrated to New York in 1951 at the age of 52-years-old, with empty pockets and no knowledge of English, in the hope of creating a brighter future for his family.

Armed with a Ph.D. in Viticulture and decades of experience managing vineyards, Dr. Konstantin Frank knew from his experience growing grapes in very cold climates that high quality wines could be made in New York. With plenty of opposition, Dr. Konstantin Frank pushed forward and planted the first Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir vines in the Finger Lakes revolutioning the Eastern United States.

60-plus years and Four Generations strong, we continue the pioneering spirit of our founder.
