Dr. Frank first produced this trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) style wine in 1962 and the 2008 season had the perfect growing conditions to repeat this achievement. It is made from Botrytis infected Riesling raisins that produce a wine like a nectar from the Gods. The grapes were hand selected, crushed and then allowed to macerate on the skins for fifteen hours. They were then pressed, cold settled and filtered. The wine then went through a slow cool fermentation for sixty days. It was then cold stabilized and filtered again in mid December.
