2012 marks an important year for our winery and the Finger Lakes wine industry: Our 50th Anniversary (1962-2012). The late Dr. Konstantin Frank pioneered the "vinifera revolution" in the eastern United States, proving that the delicate European grape varieties could survive and thrive in the cool climate of the Finger Lakes. As a result, over 100 wineries in the Finger Lakes now produce vinifera wines, as do hundreds of wineries in other New York regions and eastern states. As our winery moves into its fourth generation, we are prouder than ever to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2012. We are planning a special event on July 1st and will share details as they become available.
